Buried ALive by Diane Metivier-Hart It is my pleasure to introduce and reintroduce Diane Metivier-Hart. Diane is one of the most caring, giving, genuine, lovable nurses I know. Diane has been there for me when I was a new nurse and has helped me in many ways. Please take a few moments and meet my friend and colleague.

The last century has been a period of incredible change for humanity. We’ve gone from simple, rural lives, to the hustle and bustle of cities, automobiles, and high rise buildings. When I graduated from high school in 1987 there was no email. More

I was recently asked to do dermal filler injections to the cheeks of a patient who had undergone a routine dental cleaning the day prior. Because of increasing reports of injection complications and concern about biofilm I did not feel comfortable doing the injections without some research. More

Many “threats to public health and life” stem from the interdependent relationship between our planet and its humans (Billings & Halstead, 2016, p. 78). In other words, our environment has an impact on our health! As nurses, taking care of our planet by paying attention to environmental health issues is an important component of the care we can provide to our patients. More
