ISPAN Fellow is ISPAN's highest acknowledgment that recognizes years of dedication to exceptional education, leadership and commitment to the plastic and aesthetic nursing specialty - the ISPAN-F designation. Achieving the ISPAN-F designation recognizes you as a leader dedicated to excellence in the field of plastic and or aesthetic nursing to your colleagues, patients, your practice, and your specialty.
ISPAN Active members as well as CPSN-R and CANS-R members in good standing who meet specific qualifications and criteria are invited to apply for the ISPAN-F designation.
Qualifications and Criteria
The ISPAN-F requires several prerequisites to be considered for the designation. To aid in the process of gathering the information, use the ISPAN Checklist to identify activities that meet ISPAN-F qualifications prior to submitting your application:
Qualifications and Criteria
- 5 years continuous ISPAN membership as of ISPAN-F application submission date
- Unrestricted nursing license(s)
- Board certified by the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board
- 2 letters of endorsement from ISPAN Active Members in good standing
- Professional resume or CV and optional bibliography
- Application fee $395.00 (non-refundable)
* Active ISPAN members must meet 5 total qualifications, with at least 1 from each of the 2 categories listed below; all within the past 5 years of ISPAN-F application submission date
Professionalism/Leadership
- Leadership position or participation in an ISPAN committee (*CPSN-R or CANS-R applicants must be currently engaged in the ISPAN committee community)
- Local or community leadership position or activities
- Hospital or practice leadership position
- Subspecialty or any other society leadership position
- Leadership or participation in ISPAN foundation (*CPSN-R or CANS-R applicants must be currently engaged in the ISPAN Foundation)
- Military or government leadership position
- Medical volunteerism
Education/Scholarly Activities
- Active involvement in teaching or mentoring activities
- Research in plastic surgery or aesthetic nursing
- Publication in journals, web content, teaching materials
- Education program development; print, live, or digital
- Faculty position for ISPAN or other educational programs or meetings
- Editor position for publications
