Georgia Elmassian, MSN, MA, APRN, CPSN, CFLE President
Can you believe it? The 2017 ISPAN Annual Convention is right around the corner! I’m excited to share some new platforms and events at this year’s October 5-9 meeting in Orlando. More

Editorial: Where’s Mobius? In each newsletter from now until the September 2017 issue, there will be a hidden Mobius strip (the circular symbol as part of the ISPAN logo) for you to find. If you submit all four by October 1, 2017, you will be entered in a drawing to win a copy of the 4th Edition Core Curriculum. Submissions can be sent via email to ISPANews Editor, Kathy Mortl (kmortl@mcw.edu). Good luck!
Most cosmetic clinics, and now almost every medical practice, asks for patient reviews and testimonials. Make sure they're powerful by asking the right questions.

Member Highlight Introduction

Kathleen Mortl, RN, CPSN, CANS Director
ISPAN has a diverse nursing population with decades of knowledge. From novice to expert, the journey in nursing is vast and has many roads. I would never have thought in 1993, I was an International Board member with dual certifications. I could not have accomplished as much as I have to date if it was not for the greatest peers a nurse could have. ASPSN and ISPAN nurses are supportive and have a wealth of knowledge that they all have shared with me.
Now my new endeavor is school. NP is on the horizon.
I urge each one of you to reach out to a member, ask questions, e-mail a comment to the Newsletter, just reach out.
I would like you to take a few minutes to read Haley's nursing journey in the Member Spot light.

Haley Wood, WHNP, CPSN, CANS Nurse Practitioner
The night before I opened my new practice, I sat in the middle of the office and teared up. At that moment, I thanked God for all the years in nursing, good and bad, that had lead to that one moment. More
