Happy Holidays to everyone! Seems like yesterday when many of us met in San Diego for our 39th Annual Convention. For those that attended, I hope that we met or exceeded your expectations. More
The 2013 ISPAN Awards were distributed at the 39th Annual Convention in San Diego. In 2012 we established the Founders Award, deciding to name the award after one of the many nurses who were instrumental in establishing this organization. In 2013, the Award was named the Joyce Black award. More

The San Diego Convention this year was packed with Pediatrics. Enthusiastic comments continue to pour into my inbox. Pediatrics has been my entire career. More
I hope everyone enjoyed the weather in San Diego and took home many pearls from the wonderful meeting! Our scientific sessions planning committee did a fabulous job at providing a variety of topics for your learning needs. It was a very busy few days for everyone and there were some changes in our PSNCB board.
In October, the PSNCB held two CPSN exams and offered three opportunities to take the new CANS exams. Congratulations to our newest certified nurses. More

Allergan announced in late October that the FDA approved Voluma, a hyaluronic acid dermal filler to treat age related volume loss in the mid-face. This is the first dermal filler to receive an indication for mid-face volume in the US market.
Dear Miss Adventures,
I have been working in the burn room and I just feel awful. I thought the patient we cared for yesterday should have been left to die. He was burned over 80% of his body and surely would die anyway. I feel guilty thinking we were wasting time and resources on him, but I believe we were. How can I be a nurse but not want to care for everyone the same way? Did you ever experience such a conflict?
