Briefly Speaking...

• The ISPAN 38th Annual Convention –Teamwork in Action, was indeed North America’s premier and most comprehensive plastic surgical meeting and educational program to date. There was rich programming and numerous educational opportunities available for each convention attendee, which only served to add extreme value across the board to the practice of our plastic surgery nursing profession.

This edition of "pearls" will focus on "New Orleans Pearls" gathered from colleagues, lecturers, and exhibitioners during the annual meeting. More

When you spend your time away from your office and family to attend a professional conference, your goal is hopefully to return with at least one great clinical pearl or new technique. This year, I have to thank Leslie Fletcher, RN from Torrance, California for arming me with one new clinical pearl from the ISPAN Convention in New Orleans! More

Happy Holidays from the Plastic Surgical Nurses Certification Board! 2012 has been a busy time for the PSNCB as we have been working to develop the Certified Aesthetic Non-Surgical (CANS) Nurse Exam and bring to you in 2013. We plan to hold the pilot of the exam during the Aesthetic Meeting in New York in April with the first official certification given in October at the ISPAN Convention in San Diego. We will be releasing more details early in 2013 and will let all ISPAN know of any updates via email and the ISPAN and PSNCB website. More
