ISPAN has had a very busy year so far and we are only six months in!
What's New
One of the biggest developments in 2011 is our change in management for the ISPAN. Effective this month, ISPAN is being managed by PRRI an Association Management Company located just north of Boston in Beverly, Massachusetts. We are excited for this new relationship and hope that this transition will provide many positive changes for the ISPAN and our members.

As I teach across the country varying injection techniques for dermal fillers, I am often amazed at the number of people who think ischemia will never happen in their practice. Either they are ignorant to the fact that it is a true risk and can happen or they are what I call a "cowboy" and live life on the edge. Recently, I met with twenty of the country's top injectors, including dermatologists, plastic surgeons and nurse injectors. They brought pictures of ischemia and necrosis that have been seen in their practice. I was completely floored with the extent of tissue involvement and necrosis. More

ISPAN Website While in the process of making the ISPAN website more "user-friendly", we have decreased the size of the navigation panel. All of the same information is still there! Looking for your copy of The Core Curriculum for Plastic Surgical Nursing, 3rd edition? The order form is now located under Education within the Certification tab on the website, but you can also contact the National Office to make your donation and receive your copy.
