Company Information: The Plastic Surgery Center is a JCAHO & AAAASF accredited office-based ASC affiliated with Michael Law MD, PA / Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It serves as the surgical facility for Dr. Law's busy cosmetic surgery practice, providing surgical care for patients from all parts of the country and from around the world. We are currently seeking a dedicated, experienced, quality outcomes-driven Nurse Manager for this 100% cosmetic surgery ASC.
Job Description: The ASC Nurse Manager will:
  • Coordinate and facilitate accreditation maintenance activities for JCAHO and AAAASF
  • Be responsible for planning, organizing and evaluating operations for all services at the surgery center including Preop, OR, PACU, Sterile Processing and Nursing Administration
  • Manage, schedule and oversee all clinical activities, resources and personnel
  • Facilitate the recruitment, orientation and training of employees
  • Be directly responsible for policies and procedures to assure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Create, update and enforce policies and procedures for clinical staff including infection control and QA/QI studies and programs
  • Assist with patient care activities including support of circulating RNs, sterile processing technicians and Preop / PACU nursing staff
  • Coordinate perioperative care and transportation for patients travelling to TPSC from outside the Triangle Area and from outside the U.S.
  • Prior management experience required, with references (nurse manager, clinical director, team leader, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required, Master's preferred
  • Five years clinical experience in operating room setting (with references)
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory & practice; knowledge of management theory and change process
  • Experience with staff scheduling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Active North Carolina Registered Nurse licensure; ACLS certification
