Job Description: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assessment, planning implementation, and delivery of care for the cosmetic surgery patients in CPS Operating Suite
  • Oversight of clinical staff and the functional areas to assure that they meet or exceed quality, cost, clinical, and utilization standards and performance improvement measurements
  • To make sure all areas under leadership function harmoniously to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Reports directly to the Owner(s)/Medical Director of CPS
  • Maintains open communications with Office Manager to ensure consistency and professionalism in co-management of CPS staff and operations.
  • Cross train to critical daily responsibilities of Office Manager to effectively provide cross coverage as needed
  • Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information.
  • Protects the assets of CPS- reports non-compliance
  • Works with ethics and integrity, leading by example
  • Assures compliance and adheres to the applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, accreditation, and licensure requirements
  • Analyzes systems and processes by which surgical services are delivered and implements and/or recommends changes and innovations
  • Develops, establishes, and implements policies and procedures (Staff scheduling, surgical scheduling, pre-surgical testing, surgery, sterile processing, post-anesthesia care) in collaboration with anesthesia service, Medical Director, staff, and management team

  • Manages and monitors staff performance by establishing accountabilities and performance goals related to the overall targets of CPS, providing the tools to do the job, coaching, giving feedback, counseling, providing training and development, and giving appropriate rewards and recognition to ensure a high functioning team
  • Manages relationships critical to achieving the effective delivery of care across CPS including, medical operations, anesthesia, ancillary services, materials management, providers, quality resources, and other support services
  • Earns the respect of surgeons and anesthesia providers utilizing the Operating Suite
  • Promotes and reinforces customer service to all internal and external customers. Leverages resources and acts an advisor for financial and non-financial resources and information
  • Shares best practices, recognizing and capitalizing on size, scale, and capabilities and continuously seeks opportunities for cost restructuring to improve fiscal performance
  • Monitors quality assurance/improvement, reinforces quality measures in the Operating Suite, and implements corrective action
  • Is a great ambassador for CPS and all modalities of Synergy Spa and Aesthetics, in the community, and with other health care facilities
Qualifications: Experience and Requirements:
  • Knowledge of office based surgery suite accreditation
  • RN or NP licensed in NC
  • Experience in outpatient surgery required(circulating/pre-op/recovery)/plastic surgery or dermatology experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to cross train and interest in surgical first assisting
  • BLS/ACLS
  • Clinic nursing knowledge
  • Great oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage clinical and PRN staff schedules to coordinate needs of both clinic and surgical schedule
  • Knowledge of electronic health record and thorough documentation skills
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills helpful
